-1. NORMAL DIRECTION OF T WAVE • The T wave is always upright (positive) in
leads I (1), II (2), and V4 through V6 (Figs. 8-2 and 8-3). • The T wave is normally
upright in lead aVF if the QRS complex is <5 mm tall, but the T wave can be flat or
inverted.
