Dr. Gregory Thomas, MD
Dr. Gregory Thomas serves as Clinical Associate Professor of Medicine and Director of Nuclear Cardiology Training at the University of California, Irvine School of Medicine. His primary clinical activity is with Mission Internal Medical Group where he directs the Nuclear Cardiology program and serves as co-director of the Lipid Clinic. He served as president of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology (ASNC) in 2007.
He lectures nationally and internationally and conducts clinical research in nuclear and preventive cardiology. This work is reflected in over 80 articles, abstracts, book chapters and the text Exercise & Health: The Evidence and the Implications. He serves on the Editorial Boards of the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology, JACC-Imaging and the American Heart Hospital Journal and serves as a reviewer for multiple cardiology journals.
In recognition of his educational contributions to the University of California, Irvine, Dr. Thomas was awarded the 2007 Faculty of the Year Award by the graduating cardiology fellows.
