Leslee J. Shaw, PhD

Leslee J. Shaw, PhD, is an outcome research scientist with a background in the diagnosis of coronary disease and in the evaluation of cardiovascular imaging modalities. She is currently a Professor of Medicine at Emory University School of Medicine. Her particular areas of research interest include test accuracy, risk assessment, prognosis, clinical outcome evaluation, and cost effectiveness with a particular emphasis on the role of diagnosis and risk assessment in special populations.

In total, Dr. Shaw has published over 290 manuscripts and presented more than 300 abstracts in major scientific meetings in the United States, Europe, Australia, and South America. Dr. Shaw also serves as an Associated Editor for several journals including: Journal of Nuclear Cardiology, Journal of the American College of Cardiology - Cardiovascular Imaging, and Journal of Cardiovascular Computed Tomography. In addition to countless contributions to many medical societies across the United States and around the world, Dr. Shaw serves on both the Board of Directors and Executive Council for the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology. In 2008, she chaired ASNC2008, the Annual Scientific Session of the American Society of Nuclear Cardiology in Boston, MA.
