Dr. Nichols is currently a senior physicist with the Division of Nuclear Medicine & Molecular Imaging at North Shore Long Island Jewish Health System. He also serves as an Associate Professor of Nuclear Medicine at Albert Einstein College of Medicine in Bronx, NY. He is certified by the American Board of Radiology in Medical Nuclear Physics.

Dr. Nichols, a current member of the ASNC Board of Directors, is a member of the American Association of Physicists in Medicine, European Association of Nuclear Medicine, and Society of Nuclear Medicine. He serves as a reviewer for several medical journals and is a member of the Journal of Nuclear Cardiology Editorial Board. In addition to his work with medical societies, Dr. Nichols is a consultant to the Division of Radiation Protection of Patients of the International Atomic Energy Agency.
